Optical fiber sensing technique is an emerging technology which combines the optical, mechanical, electronics, materials and information processing. It possesses amounts of advantages like small volume, safe and durable, lightweight, anti-electromagnetic interference, better insulation, no danger of deflagration, no power supply for sensing, remote measurement, and multi-point reuse- and so on. It is widely used in petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, semiconductor, aerospace and other fields. Currently., multi-fiber sensing devices are always placed in the control room or project site, it’s inconvenient to come true the real-time operating by engineering personnel, regular inspection, remote login and some other management, an intelligent terminal urgently was needed to solve this problem.The 3G phone, which is based on Android operating system, has an open-source development system, cost of low development, simple operation, advanced of platform technology, better support for Internet business, less system resources, speed, etc. it is the most suitable hardware platform for intelligent instrument terminal.In this paper, a detailed analysis of the actual needs of FBG sensing instruments in terms of intelligent terminals, they designed software through the current mainstream Android operating system, which can run on the FBG sensing monitoring system of intelligent terminals on 3G mobile phones, for remote access and management to optical fiber sensing device. The design is based on the current mainstream of Android operating system. It aims to design software of Fiber Bragg grating sensor monitoring system, which is used for data monitoring of optical fiber sensing device. The design uses the Socket communication technology, utilizes the Wi-Fi wireless transmission to make data communication and makes use of Android smart phone terminal to receive data then reserve them in SQLite database, through which users can inquire historical data and curve to fully grasp the integrate operation performance of optical fiber sensing device. This paper also designs the early warning function. When monitoring data is beyond the intended scope, warning pictures will be sent to monitoring personnel. At that time, the warning function will inform worker to deal with it, which guarantees the safe operation of the equipment.The 3G smart FBG sensing monitoring intelligent terminal, which is designed based on the Android operating system, according to the actual needs of the project, it will enhance the level of safety monitoring instrument intelligence, so that the management of monitoring system will be more flexible, system maintenance will be more convenient and the reliability and security of monitoring equipment can also improved, then, it can also has a good value of practical.
