Exploration of hardware compatibility in Digital Multimeter based on VXIbus has been researched in the thesis. Upon the foundation, a 6.5- Digital Multimeter Module based on the message-based of the VXIbus has been developed-VT4152 Module. Digital Multimeter Module is one of the most basic modules used in VXIbus automatic test system. The research is of great significance for promoting the development and enlarging the application of domestic VXIbus technology.The module is message-based module that could measure volt D.C., volt A.C., current A.C., current D.C., two-wire resistance and four-wire resistance. It has the functions of self-calibration, autorange and overload protection.The thesis first shows the development status of DMM Module and gives the meaning of the research. According to the technical index, we adopt single CPU, high-speed ADC (typeΣ-?) structure. At the same time, the thesis gives tow contrasts of the module, which are designed successfully in the past. The thesis demonstrates the circuit of module from measure circuit and interface circuit individually. Circuit block diagram of each part is given and AD convertor selection is analyzed emphatically. Two piece of CPLD realize interface circuit that is analyzed simply. The drive and soft panel are designed by LabWindows/CVI, which has good interface and operational performance. The drive and soft panel program system is described in brief in the thesis.This digital multimeter module has achieved the technique target what 6.5-Digital Multimeter VXIbus Module should have. The research is advanced in domestic measure field. Therefore, it is of great practical significance for us to develop our product and satisfy domestic need in our country.
