Research on airflow field in car cabin is a brand-new domain of automotive aerodynamics. With rapid development of standard of living, the demand of people to indoor comfort is also higher and higher. In addition, the interior space of automobile is narrow and limited, its structure is complicated. Staying inside poor environment of automobile for long time, it is extremely easy for people to produce symptoms such as easy for divers to lead to be absent-minded, and not to concentrate attention, that increases possibility of road accident. It is common for windshield to generate frost and fog, it has serious impact on security of automotive.so there is some criterion on the windshield to demand the performance of defrost and defog. In a word, research on defrost and defog in windshield of automobile is also need analyze the airflow filed in car cabin, airflow field in car cabin not noly impact the comfort of driver but also work on the defrost and defog in windshield of automobile.Therefore,this thesis research the airflow field in car cabin and defrost and defog in windshield of automobile.This thesis is based on computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and a there-dimensional model of car is set up with a simplified compartment, RNG k ?εturbulent model and grid divided according to regions. In this way, a complete mathematical description of car is available. This thesis utilize FLUENT to numerical compute the airflow field in car cabin, research on temperature field in car cabin on 9 am and 12 am of summer solstice when the car is driving south in Changsha. We obtained the solar radiation make the influence on temperature field in car cabin and the human body comfortable. From the result, we can analyze and improve the performance of the air condition system in car.This thesis utilize STAR-CD to numerical compute the progress of defrost and defog in the windshield. It introduced the numerical model of defrost and defog in windshield. It focused on wind quantity, wind speed, and the location of the inlet of the air condition, and tried to find out the impact. This thesis provided a reference of the design of air condition system in car.
