Automobiles have been playing an increasingly instrumental role in people's daily life with the continuous development of social economy and auto industry.Nowadays,new energy vehicle and driverless cars emancipate us from fatigue driving.Therfore researchers pay more attention on the comfort of vehicles.Thermal comfort,as an important part of the comfort of vehicles,is also concerned by enterprises and researchers.In this paper,the passenger compartment thermal environment of a home-made medium car had been studied with combining experiment and numerical simulation.The thermal insulation performance of interior material is analyzed by the temperature field distribution of the passenger compartment and the temperature variation of the monitoring points.A numerical model of the model passenger cabin is set up based on the analysis of the passenger cabin heat transfer.The temperature field of the passenger compartment model is simulated by considering the solar radiation,conduction and natural convection.Besides that the influence of property and structure of different insulation materials on indoor temperature is analyzed in this paper.The influencing factors of the indoor temperature field are analyzed according to the simulation results.The analysis results are also used to improve the performance of the heat insulation composite material of the car interior.Finally,the heat insulation performance of the new car interior material is evaluated by the test results of the environmental chamber.The results show that the solar radiation is the most important factor affecting the indoor temperature.The characteristics of window glass have a significant effect on vehicle temperature.In addition,reducing the thermal conductivity of car interior material or increasing the thickness of interior material can also effectively reduce the rise speed of vehicle interior temperature.The research results provide an effective numerical simulation method for the researchers to evaluate the thermal insulation performance of automotive insulation materials.This paper aimed to establish an efficient and feasible numerical simulation method for evaluating the thermal insulation performance of automotive insulation materials.The proposed research methods and results are helpful to the design and lectotype of interior material,as well as the research on the thermal environment and thermal comfort in the passenger compartment.
