Based on the research of embankment disease in Mianguang Highway, this study have done some researches on the stability analysis of embankment over sloped ground and calculating the differential settlement of the embankment and the asphalt pavement. Through the calculating we get the main factors which have important influence on the differential settlement of the embankment and the asphalt pavement. Furthermore, we analyze the relationship between each factors accurately by the Grey Relational Analysis method.By using the calculating software SLOPE/W, one composing of Geo Studio, we analyzed the stability of embankment over sloped groud at different parameter as different grade of the slope, different height of the embankment and different width of the pavement, with the Morgenstan-Price method. The analysis indicated that, the stability would be worse and worse as the increase of the grade and height. Also we found that, on the slip surface of the embankment, the middle part of the slip surface have better stability than the both sides.By using the software SIGMA/W, also a part of Geo Studio, we analyzed the differential settlement of the embankment at different parameters such as different ground grade, different pavement width, different strength of embankment and ground, different thickness of the pavement. Through the calculating we found that, the transmutation of the embankment is no more axisymmetric along the middle of the embankment because of the slope. The surface of the pavement had obvious differential settlement, and so did the embankment. The analysis indicated that, the factors such as the slope grade, embankment height and the strength of the embankment and the foundation had important influence on the differential settlement.Based on the result of the main factors of the differential settlement, we made more models with intercross combination of those factors, and calculated the biggest displacement of the surface of the pavement as a index of differential settlement. Then we analyzed the calculating results by the Grey Relational Analysis method, in order to getting the accurate relationship between each factor with the differential settlement. The analysis indicated that, the grade of the slope had most important influence on the settlement of the embankment and the pavement.
