Segmental assembling piers have been extensive used in all kinds of bridges because of its energy conservation, environment protection, safety, speedy and low traffic interference advantages. The existing researches about segmental assembling piers only aim at failure mode of the component and the real bridges are built mainly in low intensity earthquake zone. The lack of study of seismic response and isolated measures in the strong intensity earthquake zone limit the popularization and application of this kind of bridges. So, the paper started with the segmental assembling piers, and the bridge system model was built up to study the seismic response and the effect of isolated measures. The main content are as follows:(1) Through the inductive analysis of existing researches about segmental assembling piers, the applicative study methods of segmental piers are confirmed. Fiber model method was used to simulate pier part and the nonlinear dynamic time history analysis method was used to study the seismic response. Meanwhile, the basic theories of seismic mitigation and absorption, the constitutive relation of materials and the OpenSEES software are introduced. The basic parameters of LRB and FPS, and the applicative constitutive relation of concrete and steel, and the analyzing tool are determined.(2) Based on the existing experiment of segmental assembling piers, fiber model of the piers are set up using OpenSEES to analyze. The results of experiment and model calculation are compared to verify the accuracy of the modeling approach. The fiber divide precision, numbers of element, constitutive relations and the nonlinear beam column type are changed to verify the reliability of program.(3) On account of a urban viaduct design information, continuous girder bridge numerical model was set up. Using the nonlinear dynamic time history analysis method, with index of internal force and displacement of piers, the influence of prestressing-force, ratio of reinforcement and slender proportion were studied. As a result, optimization method of appropriate parameters of segmental assembling piers based on ductility seismic theory was formed.(4) Based on the existing bridge model, using the nonlinear dynamic time history analysis method, several conditions were set, different seismic intensities, bridge spans and the piers’ height were considered to study anti-seismic property and application effect of isolated measures. Analyzing method of anti-seismic property of continuous beam bridge using segmental piers based on isolation method was proposed and reference for similar engineering was provided.
