There is a huge number and comprehensive types of earthen sites in China. The earthen sites are important carrier of human history and culture. However, due to the complex environment, under the influence of the earth’s internal and external forces,disasters related to mechanical stability, such as crack, collapse and erosion are widely developing in earthen sites, which has become the main problem of endangering safe preservation of earthen sites. Because of its weak disturbance,strong concealment and high anchoring force, anchorage technology has been widely used in the field of stability control of earthen sites. The anchoring grout material,however, is too single, which has become the key problem of the anchorage technology and theory development of the earthen sites, and the type of anchorage slurry and the compatibility and coordination between the anchorage grout and the bolt and earthen sites are the research focus in the field of earthen sites’ anchorage.Physical, mechanical and acoustic properties testing of the modified glutinous rice mortar specimen composed of clay,fly ash, and glutinous rice pulp whose concentrations is 1%, 2%, 3% were carried out, so did the modified SH-(C+F)mortar specimen composed of clay,fly ash and SH whose concentrations is 0.5%, 1%,1.5%, which optimize modified glutinous rice mortar whose concentration is 3% and modified SH-(C+F) mortar whose concentration is 1.5% have better physical and mechanical compatibility with earthen ruins. In-situ anchoring, pullout tests and stress-strain monitoring of interface between bolt and slurry of the anchoring systems made up of two superior kinds of slurry and wood bolt, glass fiber reinforced plastic,reinforced bar were carried out under the condition of different thickness of the pulp and anchoring length. The test reveals the failure mode, ultimate load,load-displacement characteristics and distribution law of stress on the blot-slurry interface of three types of anchorage system. Based on theoretical analysis of failure interface of all kinds of anchorage system, compared with field test, the scientificity and deficiency of anchorage theory are discussed. Based on the preliminary analysis of the mechanism of the anchorage, it is concluded that the advantages and disadvantages of anchorage performance of three types of anchorage systems based on the modified glutinous rice mortar and SH-(C+F) mortar depend entirely on mechanical compatibility of blot-slurry determined by its force mechanism,deformation and strength characteristics. The research results provide a basis and reference for the application of modified mortar mainly made of glutinous rice pulpand SH in the field of earthen sites’ anchorage.
