The scroll compressor has the advantages of little vibration, stable operation, simple structure, small size, high efficiency, low noise etc, which has been widely used in refrigeration, food processing, automotive air-conditioning, power engineering and many other fields. Scroll compressor is mainly composed by the electric motor, crankshaft, orbiting and fixed scroll, balance blocks, the bracket body and components of anti-rotation institutions. The performance of anti-rotation mechanism has significant effect on stability of moving of the orbiting scroll and kinematic features of scroll compressor. The further study on kinematic features and motion laws of anti-rotation mechanism will help the optimum design of compressor and improve various performance parameters of the scroll compressor. On the basis of the basic structure of scroll compressor, the paper deeply studied first principles and features of anti-rotation mechanism and introduced a new anti-rotation mechanism, as well as analyzed cross ring for anti-rotation mechanism and other parts’ three-dimensional assembled model by using finite element method.Firstly, by using UG, the motion laws of the any point of movable scroll position with the spindle center and the center of the crank pin were simula ted, first principles of anti-rotation mechanism were determined as well as the work characteristics and stress situation of the six types of anti-rotation mechanisms were analyzed comparatively.Secondly, according to the new-type anti-rotation mechanism of the working principles, structures and mechanism parameters required, a new type of anti-rotation mechanism is put forward and a set of new-type anti-rotation mechanism is designed with a three-dimensional solid model established; the calculation and an alysis of the anti-rotation mechanism with gear contact stress and gear teeth root stress, the study found that the gear anti-rotation mechanism could repeatedly absorb and reuse the rotation torque of the orbiting scroll, improving the mechanical efficien cy of the compressor, reducing the production of heat,in favor of the compression of gas.Finally, the three-dimensional model of the cross ring anti-rotation mechanism and its components is established. The positional relationship between the cross ring anti-rotation mechanism components, in different crank angle, is analyzed and the three-dimensional solid model is assembled. Considering the size error of components and the friction among institutions, an appropriate load in the corresponding position applied, by the finite element analysis method, the stress and deformation of various members of the scroll compressor change with crank angle.In a word, the result shows that the working principle of anti-rotation mechanism is that it provides a force of the orbiting scroll, which makes the angular velocity of any point on the orbiting scroll go around the main axis and crank pin with having same sizes and opposite directions. Because of its energy-efficient features, the gear anti-rotation mechanism has a certain practical applied value. Along with the rotation of the main axis, stress and deformation of the various parts of the scroll compressor is constantly changing and its changing law is more complicated, so it need to be studied separately.
