Valve as a kind of pressure piping components. It is used to change the pipeline section and flow direction of medium, control of medium pressure and flow rate,widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, aerospace and other fields. In the process of opening and closing of valve opening change constantly, easy to produce flow state of complex vortex and secondary flow, the flow may cause the failure of the valve, safety accidents. And the valve in the process of using may be exposed to high temperature medium, the thermal deformation and thermal stress caused by high temperature valve, the stress concentration had a great influence on the life of the valve. Therefore, in view of these phenomena, the 6′′Q347Y-900 Lb types of ball was made in Xuanda group.Establishing a 3D model of the ball valve. Going on a correlation analysis of the ball valve on the flow field and thermal structure coupling analysis, to study the effect of flow field and temperature on the ball valve. Paper’s main work is as follows:(1) 3D software UG and Solid Works are used for establishing ball valve model and ball valve flow channel model. Used ANSYSWorkbench bringing meshing software ICEM CFD tools and mesh ball valve structure and the division of the flow field grid.(2) The ball valve from fully open to close condition is different in the process of the steady flow field characteristics and the fluid-structure interaction analysis, the steady-state condition is obtained in different flow resistance characteristics of opening, and after compared with the calculated value; The strength of the ball valve varies with different opening degree.(3) According to the know conditions to calculate the convection heat transfer coefficient of ball valve, ball valve for different temperature of thermal-structure coupling analysis, it is concluded that the strength of the ball valve and its stiffness change with temperature.(4) An analysis of the contact friction ball valve seat and the ball, it is concluded that the seat of the friction stress and sliding displacement, compared with ball valve displacement in the work, the comprehensive analysis results of the flow field and heat ball valve strength and stiffness meet the requirements.
