The length of the 750 kV transmission line is over 1,000 kilometers in the northwest of our country, with complex corridors and varied terrain, many of whom plains, hills, mountains and rivers and other areas along the lightning activity is very different, especially in the electrical resistivity areas of high, lines are more vulnerable to lightning. At present, 750 kV line lightning protection measures is general, in the rate of lightning trip run transmission lines exceeds the code requirements. Therefore, the transmission line of 750 kV line study of the transformation of lightning protection measures, develop differentiated typical area of the line of lightning protection measures are very necessary.Through the transmission lines Lightning Performance analysis, respectively, the transmission line shielding failure flashover rate and back stroking rate is calculated, and the calculation model of transmission lines electromagnetic transient simulation method, while the improved EGM, with MATLAB software for data processing, based on the calculation results, the factors affecting the rate of lightning trip of a 750 kV transmission line, and t he rate of lightning trip influencing factors were analyzed, the corresponding lightning protection measures.On the basis of calculation, the 750 kV line corridor is divided into different types, including plains, hills, mountains, lightning withstand leve ls were analyzed and lightning trip rate under three terrain conditions, by changing to a different lightning protection measures on the line of mine-resistant level analysis, development differentiate lightning protection measures.
