| Ducted propeller is an important part of the underwater vehicle thrust system,controlling the forward, backward and turning motion.The underwater vehicle has a significant influence on the flow field around the ducted propeller, and the flow field will further affect the thrust characteristics of ducted propeller. The research of flow field inside the ducted propeller under the influence of the vehicle can further reveal the mechanism of the propeller response characteristics,and contribute to the reasonable assessment and analysis on the propeller thrust characteristics of the underwater vehicle system,so as to provide the basic data of ducted propeller for underwater vehicle system.Current research focus on the Hydrodynamic relationship between the propeller thrust and the advance velocity. There are less research on the calculation of the three induced velocity components including axial induced velocity,circum induced velocity and radial induced velocity,the relationship between the three induced velocity components and the thrust and torque of the ducted propeller.especially the relationship between the thrust and torque of the propeller and the propeller blade at different relative radial section need more research.The present research work are as follows.First, ducted propeller and underwater vehicle geometry are constructed. Numerical simulation of ducted propeller at a specific advanced velocity and different rotation speed is applied, then compare the obtained thrust results with test results to evaluate the reliability of the numerical method.Secondly, the relationship between the individual ducted propeller’s thrust characteristics and induced velocities were studied.The disk position needed for induced velocities to obtain are selected.The relationship between ducted propeller thrust response characteristics and three velocity components’ distributions on the disk,and the relationship between the thrust’s distribution along the relative radius of the blade and three velocity components’ distributions along the relative radius of the disk are investigated.Finally, the relationship between the thrust characteristics under the influence of underwater vehicle and induced velocities are studied.The relationship between the thrust characteristics and induced velocities during the vehicle are investigated. The relationship between the process of transfer bow thrust ducted propeller induced velocity characteristics when the vehicle yawing is studied. The relationship between ducted propeller thrustresponse characteristics and three velocity components’ distributions on the disk,and the relationship between the thrust’s distribution along the relative radius of the blade and three velocity components’ distributions along the relative radius of the disk in different yawing position are compared and analyzed. |
