Ducted propeller is a combination of the duct and propeller. It is usually used as a lifting device in aircrafts because of its high efficiency and high safety, but the interaction between duct and propeller cause a great difficulty in calculating ducted propeller aerodynamic characteristics.A computation model for calculating and predicting the axes-symmetry aerodynamic Characteristics of ducted propeller has been established in this thesis. Prescribed Wake Model and Free Wake Model are used to establish a finite-blade propeller computation model; Vortex Element Method is used to establish a duct computation model. When calculating the ducted propeller system, this thesis couples Prescribed Wake Model and Free Wake Model with duct computation model and uses an iterative method to calculate the ducted propeller aerodynamic. The results are compared with experiment data. In the end, an analysis on the influence of the ducted propeller primary parameters is made. |
