Discussion On The Design Of The External Environment Of Pedestrianized Street From The Perspective Of Female

Commercial pedestrianized street is not only the consumption center,but also a functional area of the city which integrates amusement and recreation,sightseeing tours,experience and communication.Pedestrianized street landscape is an important part of urban public landscape,reflecting the social material and spiritual civilization,people have a strong demand for high-quality commercial pedestrianized street landscape.Nowadays the idea of equality of men and women is widely approved,but many aspects have ignored the differences which are caused by the difference between male and female.Because the issue of gender difference is rarely involved in landscape design,there exist a large number of constructional gender inequality,even the users themselves are neglect their own requirements on gender scenery.Therefore research on the external environment of pedestrianized street from the perspective of female has important theoretical value and practical significance.It will help to arouse the designers’ regard for women,fulfilling womens’ special needs and making the design truly embody “humanization”,and help to realize the real “equality” between men and women.This essay is based on the gender difference.From the point of view of women,to start with the pedestrianized street landscape,taking representative pedestrianized street in Chongqing as example,with literature research,site observation,questionnaire investigation and IPA analysis method in paper.It studies the female psychology,behavior and the focus and actual performance evaluation on the major landscape elements in the pedestrianized street landscape paid by female,thus the passage concludes the key point and direction of the landscape design under women’s perspective.Core studies are as follows;(1) Defined the concept of the external environment of pedestrianized street as well as woman concepts,learn about the theoretical overview research findings and practical aspects referring to the relevant literature review by home and abroad,analyze the elements,features and functions of the external environment of the pedestrianized street detailedly and comprehensively,paving the way for the following.(2) Theory with actual research,analyzing the physical,psychological and behavioral characteristics of women in the external environment of the pedestrianized street,providing the theory and data support for the optimization design for the external environment of the pedestrianized street.(3) From the female evaluation on the main landscape elements of the external environment of pedestrianized street,it shows that women concern all kinds of elements especially infrastructure,landscape elements and safety management.However,the actual performance is not consistent with expectations.(4) According to the results of questionnaire survey,summarizing the needs and preferences of female to the external environment of pedestrianized street,providing guidance to the design optimization strategies from the aspects of physical,psychological and behavioral characteristics.(5) Taking the external environment of Chongqing Shapingba Three Gorges Square pedestrianized street as example,summarizing exited deficiency,arousing the attention to the external environment of pedestrianized street with no gender difference at present.
