Due to the steel-concrete composite structure can give full play to the advantages of the steel and concrete, it has excellent mechanical properties and has been widely used in long-span bridge structures in the practical engineering. As shear transfer of two different materials, the performance of shear connectors in the steel-concrete composite is related to the whole performance of bridge structures. As a new type of shear connector, PBL shear connector is more reasonable compared with traditional shear stud fittings, and its bearing capacity, ductility and fatigue performance are better than traditional stud connectors. The main components for bearing of PBL shear connector are the concrete tenon and penetration rebar, but this area surrounded by outsourcing concrete, so the experimental study on the component for the shear process can be hard to get the real stress state, based on the mature numerical analysis software ANSYS, the whole process of shearing of the PBL connector can be analyzed, so in order to make sure the transfer mechanism of under different failure modes, this article is based on ANSYS to analyze the PBL shear connector under different failure modes. Basically has the following several aspects:(1) Using ANSYS to carry on the simulation, establishing models of shear connector, considering the contact relationship between perforated plate and concrete tenon and between concrete tenon and penetration rebar; Ensure the validity of the calculation.(2) Considering the influence of the lateral constraints of the concrete tenon and the thickness of perforated plate, make sure there are three different failure modes, namely, shear failure, crushing damage and fracture damage; Considerd the power transfer mechanism of the concrete tenon and penetration rebar under three kinds of failure modes.(3) Analyzed shear stiffness and bearing capacity under different failure modes, the results show that in shear failure occurs with the highest shear stiffness and bearing capacity;PBL shear key hole plate should have appropriate thickness;Ensure there is enough lateral restraint to the concrete tenon to give full play to its bearing capacity.
