Abstract/Summary:
Epoxy asphalt concrete is one of the main materials of steel bridges deck surfacing. It has been applied in more than 20 constructions about bridge deck pavement According to the survey of the real bridges; however, crack is one of the main problems of steel bridge deck epoxy asphalt concrete form. The performances in strength, high temperature stability and water stability of epoxy asphalt concrete are very good. But the toughness at low temperature remains to be enhanced.In this paper, based on the good characteristics of deformation of the rubber particles, it is used to join epoxy asphalt mixture as aggregate. Material composition of the mixture will be designed, to try to improve the performance of traditional epoxy asphalt concrete deformation, in order to improve low temperature performance.First of all, the technical properties of rubber particles themselves was analyzed, with porosity and scattering loss rate as the evaluation, on the aspects of the needle flake content and hardness, explore its own technical indicators for the influence of the mixture. It put forward the needle flake content of 10% or less and Chore A hardness of 54 or more as quality indicator The mixed technology of rubber particles in the mixture was studied, with porosity and scattering loss rate as the evaluation, to select the best mixing process. It is aggregate-grubber particles (120℃)→epoxy asphalt→slag.Then, by using the tradition of epoxy asphalt mixture gradation and Marshall design method, on the particle size and dosage, material composition of the mixture was designed, to explore the rubber particles mixed solution. The laws of porosity and stability changing with dosage were studied. With bending test of small beam as the main index, optimization of scale was explored, and then the best solutions were chosen. The performance of the optimized mixtures was tested, to study that if it is conformed to the specifications, which further determine the scope of the optimum proportion. The results showed that the rubber particles can improve the low-temperature performance of epoxy asphalt mixture. The effect of 1.18mm-2.36mm rubber particles is better than the 2.36mm-4.75mm. Combined with road performance, the effect of 3.5%-7.0% is better, and meets the requirements of practical engineering, and 5.2% is the best.Finally, with the recommended rubber particles epoxy asphalt mixture and ordinary epoxy asphalt mixture as the research object, the deformation and the forecast of fracture temperature were studied. By analyzing the dates of bending test of small beam, by trabecular bending test analysis, research on the deformation put forward the brittle temperature range as deformation state evaluation index. The research on prediction of fracture temperature was based on the energy method. By analyzing the dates of bending test of small beam and bending creep test, the failure strain energy and temperature strain energy of asphalt mixture in low temperature was calculated. Then, by comparing the size, build the model, the fracture temperature of the asphalt mixture was forecasted. The results show that. The embrittlement-range of epoxy asphalt mixture containing rubber particles is-2℃~3℃,and temperature of fracture is -13℃. The embrittlement-range of epoxy asphalt mixture is 0℃~5℃,and temperature of fracture is -8℃. Rubber particles can make epoxy asphalt mixture brittle deformation or fracture occur at lower temperatures.
