With the construction of highway, the monitor of road construction quality and detection method has been rapidly developed, all kinds of nondestructive testing technology arises at the right moment, ultrasonic nondestructive testing technology has its unique advantages, and has made some achievements on the metal and cement concrete research, for the detection of asphalt concrete pavement is still in the attempt stage, this paper carried out related research in this aspects.This paper introduces the basic theory of ultrasonic, analyzed the basic measuring parameters of ultrasonic, and the reflection, refraction on heterogeneous interface, as well as the transmission characteristics and attenuation characteristics; explores the method of parameter settings of ABAQUS simulation method of ultrasonic by introducing the asphalt concrete layer model; explores the asphalt concrete mesoscopic model building method in ABAQUS/CAE by introducing a random particle model; building up three groups of asphalt concrete mesoscopic model in ABAQUS to analysis the influence of aggregate content, aggregate size and incident frequency of ultrasonic to the propagation law and the energy attenuation, results show that the influence of largest aggregate diameter and aggregate content in asphalt concrete to the energy attenuation of ultrasonic is not obvious, the incident frequency of ultrasonic is more noticeable. Build pore model of asphalt concrete pavement and cracked model of asphalt concrete pavement in ABAQUS to be simulation analysised, explores the detection method of porosity and crack depth, at last verify its validity.Through the above research and analysis, provides theoretical basis for ultrasonic nondestructive testing to the asphalt concrete pavement.
