Bulldozer is one of the major applications of engineering machinery in the Basic Construction, In order to reduce the labor intensity of operators and promote the work quality and production efficiency, the automatic control system of working device of bulldozer is established by the analysis of the deficiencies and shortcomings of the domestic bulldozer.Therefore, the research on the automatic control system of the bulldozer is mainly focused on the following aspects:1. Taking the hydraulic mechanical transmission of the domestic bulldozer for the transformation object,through the analysis of the problems and shortcomings of the traditional bulldozer in the hydraulic system and the working processThen the transformation scheme of automatic control is proposed in this article. With the microcomputer control unit(ECU) as the control core, a control system with feedback is constituted by the common directional valve transformed into electro-hydraulic proportional directional valve in the hydraulic system of the original working device, and the installation of sensors in the engine, caterpillar track, hydraulic cylinder of the bulldozer. Eventually, the composite control strategy, which is mainly based on the rotational speed control of engine and partially based on the slip ratio control, is determined by comparing the advantages and disadvantages of the three common control signals.2. The mathematical model of engine, hydraulic system, soil and slip rate is established and then the whole model is established in this article.3. A simulation block diagram of the whole machine model was established in MATLAB/Simulink. And two kinds of workplaces are designed to be used to test the performance of automatic control system of the bulldozer working device.Finally, it is shown that through simulating experiment, the automatic control scheme of bulldozer working device has achieved the expected results, the stability and feasibility of the automatic control system of the working device are verified and it also provides some new thoughts for the automatic research of other engineering machinery at the same time.
