Abstract/Summary:
The mortar layer damage of cement concrete pavement is widespread and difficult to treatment, due to the poor toughness and durability, bad bond behavior between new and old materials. Therefore, the paper studys, and then introduces a kind of Cement Emulsifying Asphalt and Epoxy Emulsionmortar(CAE mortar) is modified by emulsified asphalt and epoxy emulsion in this work because of the advantages of excellent flexibility of emulsified asphalt, good compatibility with cement, epoxy emulsion with excellent bonding properties. The results show that the CAE mortar posses a good mechanical strength, high toughness and good road performance.Firstly, the types of emulsified asphalt and naphthalene sulfonate superplasticizer are determined through the adaptability of emulsified asphalt and cement, waterborne curing agents and emulsion. The best mixing ratio is determined 30% by the space distribution of epoxy emulsion and emulsion asphalt which was receached by fluorescence microscopy. And the material composition design of CAE mortar is total emulsion(0.4), epoxy emulsion: emulsified asphalt(30%), water cement ratio(0.38), cement sand ratio(1:2), the amount of water reducing agent and the dosage of the anti foaming agent were 1.8% and 0.1%.Then the thesis study the influence of the CAE mortar road engineering proper according to the relative amount of epoxy emulsion and emulsified asphalt. By the test result of mechanical property, toughness, bond property, shrinkage performance impermeability and chemical corrosion performance show that CAE mortar had the better road performance than others. And when the amount of epoxy emulsion is 30%, the performance of C AE mortar can be improved with the increase of the proportion of epoxy emulsion. Compared with CA mortar, the compression flexure ratio of CAE mortar with age of 28 days decreased by 5.3%, the impact toughnes increased by 16.1%, the interlaminar tensile strength increased by 27.5%, the interlaminar shear strength increased by 11.1%, the bending strength and compressive strength loss rate decreased by 18.8%and 29.5% in acid erosion; the bending strength and compressive strength loss rate decreased by 35.8% and 25.8% in oil medium erosion. And according to the exhibition of C AE mortar as repaired materials in the two grade highway renovation project of Guangxi, the results exhibites that CAE mortar road engineering proper, which validates the test results indoor.The CAE mortar hardening mechanism shows that the hydration of cement is delayed because the cement and cement hydration products coated with asphalt and epoxy resin film in the early stage of cement hydration, so the peak intensity of AFt, Ca(OH)2 of is weaker than others in X-ray Diffraction(XRD) spectrum. With the cement hydration age increasing, the XRD spectrum diagram of CAE composite mortar show similar with other cement paste. So it proves that the emulsified asphalt and epoxy emulsion can delay the hydration of cement, but can not prevent the hydration process. The Infrared Spectrometry(IR) results show that epoxy emulsion can be completely cured in CAE composite cement. The network structure formed by emulsified asphalt and epoxy emulsion with the hydration products of cement are interspersed each other, so it makes the pore structure of CAE composite mortar materials improved.
