The Relationship Between Regional Culture And Public Space

The development of city “globalization” has brought revolution of urban public space and architecture in the modern city. People gradually consider themselves to be in the leading position during the development of city. Regional culture of the city texture will be changed by people’s subjective consciousness, which usually presents with architecture’s identity and public space’s commercialization and formatting. The city has lost regional culture characteristics which is recognized as “invisible heritage” in the process of revolution. Meanwhile, the vitality of urban public space has also disappeared, and diversity of people’s life has been deprived.During the trend of “globalization”, crisis and opportunity are co-exist. Traditional public space and architecture which are influenced by Chinese traditional regional culture once occupied an important position with unique image both at home and abroad.However, nowadays we are following the world trend without forming our own obvious cultural personality and style and China’s contemporary public space has lost its original lustre. Thus, we need to make a deep study on our regional culture characteristics under the impact of the world cultural trend. Through the research on relationship between regional culture and contemporary public space, we are willing to explore the nature of their relationship and summarize the prospects of the development of domestic public space by the analysis of an example, Long Zhou culture industrial park. Finally, we can avoid the inheritance and development of regional culture in domestic public space not to be completely assimilated by the trend of the development of globalization.This paper elaborates on the theory core of the relationship between regional culture and public space and elaborates on the practice core of Long Zhou folk ShehuoCulture industrial park. The paper also analyzes the regional culture by correlation factor between architecture, space and environment in general. At the same time, the paper wants to collect more intuitive and reliable humanistic culture, local historical culture, local public space design concept and other related information by the way of survey, interviewing and observation. The paper also hopes to summarize the contact and development of the relationship between regional culture and public space and dig more relationship between urban regional culture and public space.
