It becomes more and more important to improve the maintainance efficiency of helicopter with the application of the helicopter in the civil and military fields. It is necessary to make the rapid fault diagnosis, maintenance and fault prediction of the key components of the helicopter for improving the safety factor of the helicopter and reducing the accident of the helicopter. We usually use the method of vibration signal to analyze the rapid and effective diagnosis of mechanical components. It is very important to design the Swashplate bearing fault analyzer to realize the rapid diagnosis, maintenance and fault diagnosis of Swashplate bearing as the Swashplate bearing is a very important part of helicopter.The helicopter Swashplate bearing fault analyzer consists of two parts. One is vibration signal detection system of Swashplate bearing, the other is a PC/104 computer system to analyze the vibration signal. The fast PCI communication is adopted between the vibration signal detection system of the Swashplate bearing and the PC/104 system of the host computer due to the high real-time requirement of the helicopter Swashplate bearing fault analyzer.This thesis describes the functional requirements of the vibration signal detection system of Swashplate bearing, and then design the overall structure of the system and framework of hardware and software, describes the design process of the hardware and software in detail and the principle and implementation of FFT algorithm are described at last. The hardware is compositioned of ICP acceleration sensor driver module, vibration signal Conditioning module, A/D conversion module,DSP control module and PCI communication module etc.. The vibration signal Conditioning module uses the programmable amplifier PGA205 to amplify the signal, and uses the programmable filter MAX291 to carry on the filter to the signal.So that the system can detect the vibration signal of the different type helicopter Swashplate bearing. The software is compositioned of programmable amplifier control module, programmable filter control module, A/D conversion control module,DSP host program module, FFT data processing module, PCI communication module etc.. According to the different types of helicopter, the software can choosethe amplification of the programmable amplifier, the cut-off frequency of the programmable filter. We achieve the goal that the 8 sampling channel is arbitrarily configured into two groups, which the two sets of channel sampling start can be controlled by the 2 speed signal.Finally, the hardware of the system is stable and the software is reliable as the experiment shows. The system can realize the configuration of vibration signal detection circuit and vibration signal acquisition according to parameter from the host computer. Then those data are transferred to the PC/104 to provide the original vibration signal data for fault diagnosis and health prediction of helicopter Swashplate bearing.
