Pipes are widely used in complex electromechanical products such as aviation, aerospace, automobile and ships. Pipe routing is an important part of the development of mechanical and electrical products. Currently, the complex product pipe routing mainly uses interactive methods, relying heavily on workers’ experience and with low efficient. This paper takes the astronautics complex pipe system as the specific objects, conducts the research on the theories, key technics and implementation methods of pipe automatic routing and optimization.The studies of this dissertation focus on following aspects:(1) The features and difficulties of the complex products’ pipe layout are analyzed. The research background, significance and research status of the related fields at home and abroad are discussed. The existing methods used in pipe atuo layout and optimization are summarized. At last we conclude the significance of this paper.(2) After analyzing the demand and features of pipe digital modeling, the model and modeling process are presented, which provides foundation of pipe digital routing. On this basis, the technical architecture of pipe routing and optimization is proposed, and constraints of pipe routing are summaried. Besides, the operation flow of pipe routing and optimization is presented.(3) Pipe automatic routing and path optimizing technology is studied. The path search algorithms are summaried. On this basis, a pipe automatic routing and optimizing method based on A* is proposed. A heuristic function guided by direction and several improved strategies based on constraints are taken to find a feasible path; and then a method based on manufacturing rules is used to optimize the path. Some examples are given to prove the accuracy of this method.(4) The optimization model of pipe routing sequence is presented, and then a firefly algorithm is proposed to solve it. Firstly, the algorithm is modified to solve sequence planning problem; secondly, the process of this firefly algorithm is improved. Some simulation examples are given to prove the efficience of this algorithm.(5) The prototype system is designed and developed based on the theories and technologies proposed.The develop background, technical way, system structure, function module, interface criterion, application method and example are expatiated.Finally, the summing-up of the whole dissertation is made, prediction of the future research and direction of relative techniques are made.
