SCADA/EMS/DMS is critical important for the power grid’s stability, reliability and economic operation. With rapid economic development, technological progress, it’s urgent to upgrade the SCADA/EMS/DMS to meet the society’s increasingly higher demand for good quality electricity supply.Macau’s SCADA was built on 2002, and the model is Siemens’ s Spectrum 4.3.2. Now 13 years passed, the total number of customers of Macau electricity company has grown from191,164 to 244,586 households, the growth reached to26.82 percent.The total electricity consumption in 2002was1,864 GWhwhile now it has grown to 4,677 GW in 2014, growth rate is 150.91%; maximum load increased from 374,1to 844,55 MW, the increase is up to 125.76%(CEM Corp., 2002,2014 annual report).During this 12 years, no matter from the actual network capacity or the number of equipment, or the amount of data equipment, earth-shaking changes have taken place.Though the hardware for Siemens spectrum 4.3.2 has been replaced, the design and the construction of the whole system is still out of art. The system performance, response speed, network security and other aspects is far from being able to meet the modern power security, fast response and other requirements. SCADA upgradeis a critical mission for the reliable and high quality power supply.This article will first introduce the state of art technology.And then the statueof today’s MacauSiemens’ s Spectrum 4.3.2.What is the existing problem and temporary solution?Finally, the trend for the next generation of Macao’sSCADA/EMS/DMS, including the overall technical support solutions, and focuses on the application of IEC61970 CIM model interfaces with other systems, the system has been discussed in detail in the selection of the database, network security, etc.Articles ultimately hopes to be a reference forthe next generation of Macao’sSCADA/EMS/DMS. |
