In recent years, as the rapid development of urbanization in china, the total residential area in china accounts for nearly half of the world. From the perspective of the next generation, this generation has the most residential heritage. From the residential quality respect, the residential design is lack of careful scrutiny in all aspects. Such as, lack of research and design of the space inside for specific people, especially in big dwelling unit.Which caused a waste of labor force in this society. This article talks how to meet the life circle of residential in sustainability, adaptability, fine design in the following five chapters.Chapter I Brief introduction. It expounds the importance, purpose of thesis and also concern the concept, steps, method and frame of the research in this thesis. According to the literature review at home and abroad, we will know the development and current statement of Chinese congregated residence; it also talks the background, current statement, relevant policy and existing problems during using of big dwelling unit. in Beijing region. through study and comparison of congregated residence in Japan and Korea. We can conclude a developing trend in designing our apartment in china. Chapter II Through home survey, we will know the family structure, society background, routine of potential clients for big dwelling unit. Make a conclusion for the pros and cons trough analyzing typical cases of big dwelling unit. in Beijing region. Chapter III in view of the functional requirements of inside space, proposed a set of design points and strategies for each function space of the apartment.Through the analysis of the excellent model statistics, refined a space configuration tables of each function area for big dwelling unit. Chapter IV According to the interval area of the apartment, summarizes a set of reasonable dimension of feature space and function configuration standards. Propose the flexibility and variability of design principal in big dwelling unit. Chapter V By analyzing the results of the research is summarized set of functional requirements. Combining with two practical engineering cases, one is reform case, the other is design case.
