The direction of future traffic is the intelligent transportation system. As an effective means to study the development of the transport system, simulation technology has good applicable prospects in the field of intelligent transportation. Building urban traffic simulation model successfully can provide the basis for the design of road. Urban road traffic is the important component of urban transport, and virtual reality technique has been certified to be very suitable for the study of urban road traffic flow simulation. Urban traffic flow virtual simulation can provide important reference for pedestrian and traffic safety education and the study of urban road traffic flow. It has important guiding significance and broad prospects for the study.As a classic fluid simulation model, dynamic implicit potential field releases the technical limitations of traditional group simulation. The factors that affect large-scale population movements consolidate into a continuous flow field which can dramatically improve the rendering. This model has been applied to a large-scale crowd simulation by domestic and foreign researchers in the study population, and they have made some progress in research. Since the degree of freedom of crowd behavior is relatively high, and the behavior of the vehicles can be seen as a simplification of a crowd behavior, we can consider to applying the model of dynamic implicit potential field vehicle simulation. Thus, for the complex traffic situation of transportation hub, this paper studies the method of three-dimensional simulation of the urban road network vehicles based on dynamic implicit potential field. At the same time, according to the characteristics of the vehicle behavior under different traffic conditions, this paper gives a variety of intelligent virtual vehicle movement tactics, so that the vehicle can deal with various situations reasonably, to achieve an intelligent virtual vehicle movement, and it seeks to meet the realism and efficiency. Specific innovative work is as follows:(1) We propose a vehicle motion model based on dynamic potential field and the local navigation field. To avoid collision with the vehicle and to complete the path planning, we generate global navigation field for guiding movement of the vehicle by the Traffic information.(2) A FIM algorithm-based vehicle simulation optimization scheme is also presented. Since the main criterion of the vehicle motion simulation model is the speed of building potential field, we propose a parallel computing method based on FIM algorithm to optimize building efficiency of potential field. In addition, we design a vehicle motion simulation system which is implemented by several different architectures taking advantage of the features of CPU and GPU. At last, we achieve the vehicle simulation system based on heterogeneous parallel architecture with multi-cores of CPU and GPU which can get the best performance.(3) We design a complex terrain data discretization scheme based on the parallel environment. We establish a common scenario representation and transportation hub road representation model to represent the scene. Taking an example of the scene around Beijing South Railway Station, we also use the vehicle motion model and simulation optimization scheme above-mentioned to realize the real-time threedimensional realistic vehicle simulation.The experimental results show that this method can acquire good rendering and simulation efficiency in large-scale vehicle rendering scene. And based on these studies, we design and implement three-dimensional simulation vehicle systems oriented the urban road network.
