With the advancing process of mobility, road congestion, travel inconvenience, and other issues have been appeared increasingly. People realized that the motor vehicle and the non-motor vehicle harmonious coexisting would be the future of urban developing direction. The transportation system planning of bicycle system had carried out in several city of China. Studies on traffic infrastructure of bicycle transportation system is also being carried out. Traffic guide signs is an important part of traffic infrastructure. A reasonable traffic guide sign will make important contribution to achieve the designing of traffic streamline. However, there is little systematic research on traffic guide signs of bicycle system. Based on the background above, this paper has carried on the following research:First, this paper hierarchically analyzed the guide sign based on topology structure. This paper collected five typical kinds of guide sign design. Meanwhile, the guide sign was divided to three levels, the sign information, the layout information, the unit information. The results showed that eight design elements and two design indexes existed questions of normative and consistency.Second, this paper was classified the eight design elements based on the KANO model. The survey was taken in order to verified design requirement. The survey results were analyzed to classify the reliability. And then the results were analyzed based on the characteristic matrix and the influence coefficient. Design requirement level of the eight design elements was divided after the analysis above.Third, simulation experiment was taken based on E-Prime software, in order to confirmed the relativity between the visibility, h/H and d/h. The reaction time and the response accuracy were collected. Clustering analysis was used to verify the relativity between the visibility and information numbers. The models of h/H and d/h were also established after the simulation experiment.Fourth, this paper selected the related signs used in simulation experiment to conduct the outdoorsy experiment, in order to verify the effectiveness of simulation experiment. The results showed that there was no significant difference between the simulation experimental results and the outdoorsy experimental results. At the same time, according to the cluster analysis, this paper calculated bicycle system guiding the upper limit of the number of entries information signs. According to the model, this paper calculated bicycle system guiding h/H value and d/h value of the optimal value of the mark.The aforementioned findings in this paper would contribute to design guide sign of bicycle system and offer technical storage for related standard. Meanwhile, the aforementioned findings would also apply to improve convenience and comfort of bicycle system and establish a better travel environment for bicyclists.
