Research On Ecological Security Pattern Based Method For Planning Ecological Converstion Red Line In Acheng Harbin

Ecological conversation red line(for short “Ecological red line”) is the bottom line to guarantee urban, regional and national ecological security and sustainable development. With the processes of urbanization in China, natural lands and resources around cities are developed and exploited progressively, leading to many ecological problems, which impede urban sustainable development seriously. From the proposal of Ecological red line in 2011, the government and researchers in China have paid much attention to the studies and practices of Ecological red line. In 2015, the “Technical Guideline for Planning Ecological Conversation Red Line”(for short “Guideline”) was issued to guide the work of planning Ecological red line. Although the Guideline is suitable to regional and national scale, it cannot be applied to urban scale suitably. For this reason, this research develops a method for planning urban-scale Ecological red rine based on Ecological security pattern.The present research conducts a literature review about Ecological security pattern and Ecological red line, points out the flaws in existing researches, develops a method to plan Red Line based on Ecological security pattern and applies the proposed method to Acheng, Harbin to check its practicality.This research uses a serious of quantitative and qualitative research approaches, including literature review, on-site observation, Geographic Information System(for short GIS) analysis, landscape pattern metrics analysis and case study, etc. Literature review and on-site observation are used for preliminary study and data collection. GIS analysis is used to plan Ecological security pattern. Landscape pattern metrics analysis, statistic analysis and case study are used to plan the Ecological red line in Acheng.This research develops a new method to plan Ecological red line and apply it to the open-pit mine planning in Acheng. The research results show that this method has particular importance to Ecological red line planning because it is operable and practical for urban scale and is able to protect the complete ecological network of a city.
