Backing on the ecological environment sub-project of the overall plan (2004-2020) of Tianjin, this article analyzed the ecology fragility, the ecology supporting capacity and the ecosystem health of Tianjin, established the city extension ecology security pattern on the basis of analyzing the remote sensing phantom material and the statistical yearbook material which is in the use of GIS and SPSS statistics software. Conclusions are as follows: (1) Tianjin's ecology fragility appraisal index system was established by unifying the open country investigation and the statistical data. Using the hierarchy analytic process and the quantification processing to various targets, Tianjin's ecology vulnerable condition was appraised comprehensively. It is showed that as a result of the water resources was consumed excessively, the ecological environment fragility weakens gradually from the eastern coastal area to the interior. (2) By computing, Tianjin's ecology supporting capacity value in 2004 is 0.32hm~2, the average ecological deficit achieves 1.53hm~2 per person .Those explained that Tianjin's development was realized mainly through the consumption of natural capital storage quantity, the ecology safety is facing serious threat and this tendency is increasing year by year.(3) Calculated using the fuzzy number research method, Tianjin's ecology health value from 1999 to 2004 were 0.4725, 0.5112, 0.5105, 0.4929, 0.5029, 0.5219.Obviously Tianjin's ecology health value undulates about 0.5 which is under the sub-healthy condition.(4) From the quota and the dynamic stratification plane, Tianjin's expansion security pattern was drew up using the GIS software which provides planning basis to local urban development direction.
