Research On Service Function And Spacial Arrangement Of Typical Botanical Gardens In The United States

In the long years of development of human society, botanical garden has witnessed the process of the human from the use of nature to the transform of nature until bringing benefits to the people, showed the human learning in harmony with nature in the infinite wisdom.Today the botanical garden was not only with scientific research, species protection, popular scientific education, recreation and economic production and other diversified functions, but also was a city or even a regional representative of civilization. In recent years, with the global focus on biodiversity conservation, more and more people realized the importance of botanical gardens.Our country under the background of rapid economic development of society, there are more and more cities considered building, rebuilding and expanding the botanical gardens in the city. The process is facing many challenges, therefore, the botanical garden needs good reference and learning.This paper studied on the function of botanic gardens as the breakthrough point, systemized the botanical garden function evolution process from appearing to sequence, and described the main functions of botanical garden in modern society.On this basis, taking the Shanghai Chen shan botanical garden in China as an example, analysized the layout of the functional partition and ways of plants exhibit briefly.This paper briefly introduced the basic situation of the selected 14 American well-known botanical gardens, and provided the input for the following research.First of all, the paper conducted a comprehensive and in-depth analysis from the ecological services, social services, economic and cultural service of botanical garden, made a detailed interpretation of the mechanism of action of every service function.Secondly, discussed the relations between the fusion of botanical garden and the city from the accessibility of public transportation, the surrounding land use function and tourism resources of network. Depending on the conditions of the botanical garden the internal integral space layout analysis, found the botanical garden space layout is mainly influenced by natural conditions and human factors. Summarized the botanical garden mainly presents three spatial layout pattern with the natural landscape, ecological types and the material culture.Finally, discussed the botanical garden construction in our country from respecting site characteristics, protecting the ecological core and blending.Starting from the function of the botanical garden, researched how to satisfy the service needs of users in the botanical gardens, which could help to improve the quality of service of botanical garden and promote the sustainable development of botanical gardens.The study of space layout of the famous botanical gardens provided guidance and reference for site planning and functional zoning in the future, which has important practical significance.
