In the rapid development society, power is already becoming the socio-economic development and people’s daily life indispensable energy. Coal power plants as the main electricity energy production has been increasing emphasis on community and the state, but also quickly got the strong support of the country and rapid development. However, everything has two sides.A large part of pollutants come from the power plants to drain the natural environment, which led to prominent environmental problems, such as dust, carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxide on the environment which is harmful to human substances. Especially dust on people’s health and daily lives of direct harm to the human body may cause respiratory diseases, cancer, etc. pneumoconiosis even serious illness. Therefore, the plant ESP system is imperative.This paper systematically introduces the basic ESP principle of the composition, sums up the problems which encountered on Red Bay Power Plant Unit 2 ESP, then proposes the solutions,, and makes up the operation analysis after transformation. Paper proposes an effective control mode for power plant complex conditions by using the intelligent control systems ESP(IPEC), upgrading the high and low voltage electrical equipment software system, described in detail in the design and debugging process issues that need attention and the corresponding solutions. Main work of the task is through the transformation of the electrostatic precipitator control system, using IPEC control software, make changes in the electrostatic precipitator load control devices which can automatically adjust the operating mode and parameters that can be adjusted according to changes in boiler load operation mode signal and parameters in order to meet environmental standards, while ensuring the collection efficiency of the premise, saving rate of 50% to 80% energy savings and significant economic benefits.
