A kind of safety gears with the rated speed is 2.5 m/s was designed according to the type and characteristics of a large amount of safety gears which was used on the high-level building.First of all,the design scheme of the progressive safety gear with U-shaped spring was put forward on the basis of the working principle and the analysis of existing safety gears.Secondly,parametric design was done for the progressive safety gear with U-shaped spring and the 3D model is established by SolidWorks.Thirdly,statics analysis was done by SolidWorks Simulation and kinematics analysis was dong by SolidWorks Motion.Finally,the machining processing route of wedge of safety gear was drafted.By careful analysis the performance,function and characteristics of the existing elevator safety device,a kind of safety gears was designed according to national standard.There are three kinds of brake components structure:wedge type,eccentric type and ball type.Wedge type safety clamp has simple structure, good neutral and higher safety performance and that is why it was selected.Progressive safety gear elastic element has the U-shaped springs,cylindrical spiral springs,disc springs and pi type springs and the U-shaped springs was selected.The design scheme was put forward based on the principle of safety clamp.The author has designed the part drawing and assembly drawing of safety gear by using SolidWorks.By using SolidWorks Simulation, the author has separately made static analysis among the U-shape springs,wedge and solid block of the U-shape progressive safety gear which is specialized for elevator.After receiving the simulation results, the author has further optimized its structure for the purpose of achieving national standard safety factor.The author also made kinematic analysis of the U-shape progressive safety gear by using SolidWorks Motion.Through repeatedly modifying the parameter,the braking deceleration was kept at sixty percent of acceleration of gravity.Considering the property of wedge, the author has arranged the machining process route and formed the machining card.
