The research object of this paper is DKFZD4012 ball screw provided by Nanjing Technical Equipment Manufacture Company. Various research means, such as dynamic simulation, theoretical modeling, finite element analysis and experimental research, are taken to analyze the ball screw basic features of vibration and acoustic. The simulation model and some conclusions established or obtained in the research process have the value for expansion and application. Main research contents in this paper include:1. The multi-body dynamic model of ball screw was built by importing the 3-D model of DK4012 ball screw into ADAMS. Through the dynamic model, the actual running state of ball screw was simulated and many time domain dates, such as the impact force and nut vibration, were extracted, which should be the analysis basic for the subsequent vibration analysis and noise level prediction.2. Briefly analyzed the common methods for building vibration model of ball screw and compared the advantages and disadvantages of each method. And then, a superior hybrid method was promoted to deduce the axial and torsional vibration model. Besides, the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory was used to deduce the bending vibration model of ball screw. Through establishing these vibration models, we could understand the vibration essence in depth.3. The FEA model of DK4012 ball screw was built to simulate the pre-stressing effect of space, establish the pre-stress field and do model analysis under the condition of pre-deformation. Then, the time domain dates of impact force between balls and returns were imported into ANSYS so as to analyze the vibration response of ball screw, which could set as the boundary conditions of subsequent noise level prediction.4. Basic on the transient dynamic analysis, the acoustic finite element model of ball screw was established in Virtual.Lab. And then,the time domain dates of vibration extracted from the transient dynamic analysis result were set as the acoustic boundary condition of ball screw after the Fourier Transform. Finally, the noise level of ball screw was predicted through acoustic finite element method, and the prediction result was verified by noise experiment.
