Aerospace high-speed conditions has a higher demand for the drive performance of the precision ball screw,especially for the volume and weight,static and dynamic response,contact characteristics and reliability and so on.The design theory,manufacturing method and experimental platform of the traditional civil ball screw pair have been unable to meet the needs of the aerospace engineering ball screw.So,the study of ball screw drive technology under aerospace high-speed conditions is very important.In this paper,the contact characteristics of ball and spiral raceway surface are studied by Hertz contact theory.The contact deformation,axial contact rigidity and the change of contact angle under axial load are analyzed and solved.On the basis of the theoretical analysis,the contact deformation of the screw pair under different load conditions is simulated by means of finite element software ABAQUS,and the results are compared with the calculated results.Then,the motion and force of the ball under high speed condition are analyzed theoretically by considering the centrifugal force and gyro moment.On the basis of the above theoretical analysis,the dynamic simulation of the ball screw at different speeds was carried out by means of the multi-body dynamics software Adams.So,the influence of high speed on the motion and force of the ball screw was investigated.Next,by analyzing the origin of the friction force and establishing the theoretical model of the friction torque,the heat and temperature rise caused by the friction are calculated theoretically,and the influence of the friction on the dynamic performance of the screw is investigated.In order to reduce the bad influence of friction torque,an optimization model was established to reduce the friction torque,and the optimal calculation was made by MATLAB.In addition,the paper analyzes the source of vibration and noise in the process of ball screw drive under high-speed conditions.Combined with the characteristics of the ball screw in aerospace servo,modal analysis is carried out to solve the natural frequency.Finally,the vibration characteristics of the bearing and sleeve caused by the ball screw at different speeds were tested experimentally,and the influence of the high speed on the dynamic characteristics and temperature rise of the whole screw was studied.
