| In recent years, the asphalt concrete pavement noise has become the core issue; also it has been increasingly concerned by the road researchers. It is the most economic way to reduce the tire/road noise, which is to decrease noise level from the sound source. According to present researches, pavement texture form affects the road surface friction coefficient and noise simultaneously. Unilaterally increasing the friction coefficient of road surface can cause road surface friction noise upgrade, but blindly reducing the noise also can lead to threaten anti-sliding performance of pavement. Based on the findings work, this paper tries to present the relation between the texture and the friction coefficient of asphalt concrete pavement and relation between the texture and the friction noise. The finding works as a theoretical base of the practical design and finally this design is going to reach the requirement of skid-resistance and to minimize the noise.Firstly, By reviewing the strengths and weaknesses of present methods of testing the friction coefficient and the friction noise, this paper offers the method of inner-door synchronism test and collects the data of between the friction coefficient and the frictional noise in the same test area.Secondly, this paper analyzes the characterization techniques and their advantages and disadvantages in the existing research about asphalt concrete pavement texture. For pavement texture information, the author use technology of 3D concentrated point cloud scanning to the scan of specimens; in addition MATLAB is employed to extract the scan data; to propose texture depth cumulative rate (TDCR), cumulative curve of texture depth and special value of TDCR;then it is also applied to describe pavement textureThirdly, using data regression method to create the relation between special value of pavement TDCR and surface skip resistance and relation between the special value and frictional noise. The skip resistance decreases with the special value increases and the frictional noise firstly decreases and finally increases with the special value increases. The optimize form of pavement texture can be achieved based on the relationships, which reduces frictional noise and meets the requirements of pavement skip resistance.Finally, the relationship between special value of pavement TDCR and gradation should be established to make optimizing pavement texture in design come true. |
