Robber powder, as a kind of recyclable material, has a great application potential in the field of road engineering due to its unique structure and properties. In the recent circumstance,because of many influencing factors, the rubber powder modified asphalt pavement is not get popularization and application. The rubber powder of intense research on the properties of asphalt mixture gradation and using effect, has important theoretical significance and application value.Selecting appropriate rubber powder, adjusting gradation composition, optimizing construction technology, all those can do help in improving the asphalt mixture pavement performance effectively, and then application range of asphalt mixture is expanded. In the paper, 4 kinds of different asphalt binders and 8 kinds of Xiangweilian modified asphalt mixtures with different aggregate gradation are selected to conduct a lot of laboratory test, and further the differences between the said rubber powder and ordinary one are analyzed roundly,also the characteristics. From the perspective of technological property and pavement performance, the said rubber powder modified asphalt binder, ordinary rubber powder modified asphalt binder, SBS modified asphalt binder and base asphalt binder those 4 kinds of different asphalt binders are studied by DSR tests, BBR tests and routine tests to figure out the characteristics of Xiangweilian rubber powder. With a new design of skeletal dense gradation,the equality-volume replacement and inequality-volume replacement tests in which the said rubber powder is used to instead the same size aggregate are conducted to research the impact that the said rubber powder has on gradation composition.The study shows what as following: compared with the ordinary rubber powder modified asphalt, the Xiangweilian modified asphalt has a good performance in homogeneous phase,high temperature, temperature sensitivity, aging resistance, but little range of linear viscoelastic. The dry manufacture process can improve significantly the low-temperature performance of asphalt mixture. The pavement performances of asphalt mixture with different aggregate substitution ratio are researched systematically, which provide some reference to the gradation optimization.
