Nowadays, the automobile safe driving problem has become a social problem that cannot be neglected in people’s productive activities. Unqualified technical status of vehicle in driving is a main reason that frequently makes traffic safety accidents. How to make a strict, Standard, Normative detection method in automobile safe performance is a most important medium to ensure the vehicle in a good condition and eliminate hidden danger of traffic accident. Therefore, on the basis of a comparative analysis of existing automobile safe performance detection advantages and disadvantages, we design and implement a reliable and efficient distributed LAN automobile safe performance detection in the paper.According to GB21861—2014”Items and methods of motor vehicles safety technology inspection”, we design a distributed LAN automobile safe performance detection system that include a master station and three inspection stations in LAN. After detail the function of each part in this detection system, we completed the all detection items: axle weight, brake force, sideslip, light intensity, sound level, smoke emission, gasoline emission. Using the AD620 chip design analog signal acquisition and amplifying circuit. Using the TLP521-4 chip design digital signal I/O circuit and designed regulated power supply in hardware circuit. At the same time proposed a number of anti-interference measures. The software modules includes the following: data transmission in serial devices, LAN communication scheme based on TCP protocol, detection and control software for each station; An integrated database system for vehicle detection information has been designed by SQL Server 2005, and a valid vehicle scheduling scheme has been set up at the same time; Rather detailed analysis and research concerned with the most important braking force data collection and processing in the automobile safe performance detection system have been conducted at last. They consist of braking force calibration and linear fitting. Besides, in this research, the three times B spline interpolation function has been used to fit and optimize the braking force curve as well.Through the projects tests show that the system can complete the detection task stably, reliable, efficient. Test results with good repeatability, accord with project testing qualified standard in GB7258-2012 “Safety specifications for power-driven vehicles operating on roads”...
