Inner City Subway Station Space Utilization Moderate Elements Of Regional Culture Studies

With high speed development of Chinese cities, transportation capacity in cities is suffering huge pressure and the number of underground stations is increasing rapidly.Construction of underground has inserted new dynamic of cities, pushing the process of cities’ development. As a part of city, the culture development of city gives a deeper meaning of underground design. One hand, the culture of the design of underground station is based on the culture of the city. The individual culture of city, which is different from other cities, would impact the design direction of underground stations.On the other hand, the design of underground stations, which has shown the culture of the city, would have the opposite impact of the original culture of the city, which means that the impact would pushing the culture and economy development of the city.In the environment design of underground stations, what design needs to undertake, is not only to solve the functional problems, in which, underground is one model of city transportation. At the meanwhile, it is also one effective media which to present the culture of the city. Therefore, the contradiction between city culture and transportation function would be occurred. At present, based on the social environment,in which, everyone would talk about the design and everywhere would show the culture, we are forced to consider that the trade off between transportation construction and culture decoration design in the space environment design of underground station,in order to solve the problems which are visual chaos and similar design by misused the culture elements. Based on the current situation, this paper will focus on the underground basic function of transportation, separating the different sections in the underground station to conduct functional analysis, searching the appropriate locationand utilization methods of native culture in different sections, in order to reach most reasonable cultural presentation in underground space design.
