A Research On The Diversity Of The Ancient City Of Yangze River Valley And Enlightment To The Modern Cities Construction

Diversity is one nature of the city. But now in our country, the style of many cities become identical at the same time, so they lose their individual character, which leads to the situation of all the city looking the same to each other. Based on this situation, this paper chooses Langzhong, Jinzhou and Nanjing as research subjects, which are located in the upper reaches, the middle reaches and the lower reaches of Yangtze River respectively, to seek the law of how to organize the diversity of the city and the method of how to make the city multifarious by using the city image method.This paper is divided into four parts, and includes six chapters. The first part which includes the first and the second chapter introduces the question, that introduces the development background of the research subjects, introduces the city image method and the cultural geography as research methods,and explain the situation of this stage. The second part includes the third and the fourth chapter. The third chapter chooses Langzhong, Jinzhou and Nanjing as research subjects, and analyze the character of diversity carefully. The fourth chapter summarizes the organization law of the diversity of the ancient city. The third part which includes the fifth chapter is to answer the question. This chapter shows the opinion by analyze the example and propose the methd to solve the problem. The fourth part which includes the sixth chapter is to summarize the achievement and the weak point of this paper, and take a outlook of this subject.The visual angle of this paper is very special. First, the author introduces the city image method and the cultural geography to study the city. Second, this paper analyzes three ancient cities and obtains some data and results,and summarizes the organization law of the diversity. At last, this paper proposes some method to solve the problem. The design of the city should base on the urban culture, and we should seek the nature and the history of every city to make every city special.
