Excavators in many industries are widely used in the construction of national economy, such as industrial and civil construction, transportation and hydroelectric engineering, farmland leveling, mine mining and the mechanization of the construction of modern military engineering and so on industry. According to statistics, about 60% of the general engineering construction of earthwork quantity, amount of 80% of the stripping and mining in open-pit mine was done in excavator.With the deepening of China’s infrastructure construction and the excavator is widely used in construction, excavator market has a broad space for development, so the development needed to meet the situation of our country excavator is very necessary. And as an important part of excavator working device, for the research and control of the basis for development of the whole machine.Backhoe type single bucket hydraulic excavator working equipment is a complex space agency, both at home and abroad for its motion analysis, institutional and structural parameters optimization design have made a more in-depth research, the design of the concrete especially the design of the medium-sized excavators have been mature. On single bucket hydraulic excavator backhoe type many related literature, the literature from different aspects to the design of working device are discussed.In this paper, the excavator working device(derrick) parameters optimization design, motion simulation for the working device. Improving traditional excavator working device design deficiencies and defects, using suitable optimization method,kinematic and force analysis of excavator working device, and establish the mathematical model, finally analyze the results, it is concluded that the optimal design of excavators provide theoretical basis for the improvement and development.
