Polar regions distribution in the southernmost tip of the earth and the northernmost,which is one of the least areas affected by human activities and have great research value.Due to the harsh climate conditions rarely lived in polar regions,perennial low temperature and polar day or polar night to bring great inconvenience to scientific investigation,therefore the disposable equipment applied to polar scientific expedition.The greatest problem of disposable equipment is lacked sufficient battery life,this phenomenon leads to the loss of scientific data and seriously affected the expedition work.This topic to study the small wind/solar hybrid generation system in order to improve endurance of disposable equipment.This system was clean energy and easy installation.The most important point is the system would remedy instability of wind and solar,so it apply to the polar regions.At present China and abroad has many studies of small wind/solar hybrid generation system,the author then designed small wind/solar hybrid generation system which point at polar environment,also completed the lectotype of wind turbine,solar panel and battery.As temperature has great influence of batterycharge-discharge ability,in order to research of battery charge-discharge ability at low temperature,author simulated polar environment by experiment cabinet to done the battery charge-discharge experiment at different low temperature environment,According to the experimental results determined using MPPT control for the small wind/solar hybrid generation system in order to improve the battery charge acceptance.According to the actually use of small wind turbine and small solar panel in polar expedition,author designed reasonable Buck type DC/DC electric circuit for them,put forward variable-step size duty-cycle perturb and observe algorithms for wind power generation system and photovoltaic power generation system,then simulation proved system’s MPPT function.Designed the battery energy storage system and bi-directional DC/DC converter,then battery energy storage system simulation model respectively,then simulation proved system’s power control function.Designed the control strategy of small wind/solar hybrid generation system In the polar environment and make simulation for the system,the result laid the foundation for the small wind/solar hybrid generation system MPPT control.In order to speed up the tracking speed and reduce the shock of maximum power point for the small wind/solar hybrid generation system,the author takes into account the nonlinearity of wind power generation system and photovoltaic power generation system,using fuzzy control method and designed the fuzzy controller for these two systems,then make simulation for the wind power/photovoltaic power generation system and small wind/solar hybrid generation system,the results show that the superiority of fuzzy control.Based on the climate data of Antarctic zhongshan station,the article analyses the power supply reliability of power supply system and had proved the reliability of system.The project has studied and designed the controller of wind/solar hybrid generation system.The hardware design include of wind/solar hybrid generation main circuit and control circuit,also selected components of enduring lowtemperature.The software design include of the system of main program,wind/solar subroutine and peripheral circuit of acquisition.Research results show that the small wind/solar hybrid generation system in the polar low temperature environment which author designed could applied to the polar expedition,the control method and control circuit could effectively to improve endurance of the small wind/solar hybrid generation system and extended sufficient battery life of the disposable equipment,It can assure the working of the disposable equipment in polar regions.
