GIS equipment is favorate for the power system because of less land, high reliability, no maintenance, short construction period and many other advantages. However, equipment failure due to defects caused in processing, assembling, transportation and installation, lead to some new problems appearing,such as wider range of power outages, longer maintenance time, higher cost. Combined with the partial discharge detection and failure warning of Guishan GIS substation and construction of on-line PD monitoring system of Dieling GIS substation,UHF on-line monitoring system is researched in this paper.This paper summarizes the problems existing in the operation of GIS, expounds the main causes of GIS failure, and the detection method of partial discharge signal in GIS, and analyzes the principle and characteristics of GIS partial discharge signal detection.For the present situation of GIS partial discharge detection technology, a variety of factors, including how to consider the relationship between the system performance requirements and cost requirements, is discussed, and how to use the GIS to install auxiliary monitoring device in the running of the GIS.According to Guishan station detection of partial discharge in GIS and overhaul experience, to carry out Dieling station on-line monitoring system construction, proposed PD detection technology and online monitoring system of engineering conditions, technical requirements and GIS online monitoring sensor field application layout, complete the on-line monitoring system installation, commissioning and operation of the application and carry out analysis of the application of on-line monitoring systemThrough the relevant experience of this article, we can accumulate the experience of online monitoring system for Yangjiang power Bureau, and realize the evaluation of maintenance strategy and equipment life cycle.
