The Research On New Chinese Home Color Design For The Youth

With the diversification of modern aesthetic ideas, innovative designs of New Chinese Style color also emerge in endlessly. It is necessary to study the aesthetic tendency in the New Chinese Style home of the young people, who show adoration towards the Chinese traditional culture and considerable enthusiasm for the new Chinese style, and will be the main consumer group of house purchase and decoration in the next ten years.With literature research method and inductive method, this paper interprets the cultural connotation, the aesthetic characteristics and the influence factors of Chinese traditional home color, and conclude the aesthetic tendency of it:quiet, indifferent, concise, harmonious home color as well as natural color decorative materials are preferred, and reservedness and simplicity are the main aesthetic characteristics of traditional home color. The survey research method is used in carrying out the questionnaire survey towards the youth about new Chinese home color, and the preliminary test results are tested through the eye meter with the experimental research method. The results show that for the New Chinese Style home environment, young people prefer the color atmosphere that is warm, cozy, harmonious and refreshing, the home environment full of natural breath and mainly in warm colors, and especially the collocation of natural and warm colors of brown primarily. Using literature research method and inductive method, this paper summarizes the type of color collocation presented in New Chinese style interior designs:one that is based on the color of black, white and gray from Suzhou gardens and Beijing dwellings; one with additional China traditional colors for small scale ornament on the tone of black, white and gray; and one with color collocation based on natural colors. And this paper summarizes the characteristics of the New Chinese Style:thick but not colorful, complicated but not miscellaneous, dignified and elegant. According to the above characteristics, combined with the analysis of aesthetic tendency of young people, this paper concludes a New Chinese Style home color design concept that meets their expectations:to return to nature, to return to culture, to return to life. Based on the above research results, combined with the general principles and methods of interior design, this paper puts forward the color design principles and methods of the new Chinese style home for young people. And this paper especially proposes that Chinese traditional color could be a breakthrough point for the new Chinese style home color design, in view of its decorative, symbolic and simple feature, its rich cultural heritage and spiritual significance as well as its conformity with modern design language and aesthetics. There is the meaning of the era and style in applying Chinese traditional color to the new Chinese style home design.
