The smooth and comfort of driving is mainly depended on the automotive transmission system. The gear-box, as the key assembly of automotive transmission, could provide reliable scientific basis to the product design and quality assessment by testing and analyzing the performance and mechanical life of the gear-box’s structure and parts before leaving the factory. And in order to control the quality of gear-box, the test for gear-box is supposed to be close to the actual use situation of gear-box. The main content of this thesis is to design and study the control system of gear-box loading test-bed and the efficient of control strategy.Firstly, under the guidance of the relative information of gear-box test-bed from home and abroad, the thesis illustrates the loading property, power source and structure style of gear-box test-bed, and make some functional requirements according to the structure and test procedure of test-bed. With these functional requirements, this thesis introduces the components and necessary technologies of the test-bed control system for the design and layout of the electric control system.Secondly, this thesis carries out a detailed study of the control segment of the loading system. At first, it builds mathematical models of driving control system and loading control system that includes mathematical models of AC motor variable frequency speed regulating system, gear-box and some electric parts. Then it would implement simulation of the control system mathematical model which combines the models above mentioned based on the Simulink, with which we could get the torque output curve of gear-box test-bed, and do some analyses after that.Finally, in order to achieve a more satisfactory control effect, this thesis has done a research of PID control strategy. And by analyzing the torque output curve from simulation of system consisting with PID feedback, this thesis dose prove that the PID controller could improve the control precision, response speed and control performance of system, and thus provide reliable basis for the design of test-bed control system.
