In the modern world, the energy which used in production and people’s daily lives mainly come from crude oil, coal and natural gas.If over-reliance on fossil fuels there will be two big problems:the first is its limited storage capacity which can’t satisfy people’s energy needs for a long time; the second is its large number of pollutants, which result in a wide range of continuous fog weather which result in the serious influence to human survival environments. Therefore, renewable energy becomes the objects of vigorously investment and development. As a clean renewable energy, solar energy is recognized as the most ideal green energy to realize the sustainable development of energy and the environment. Solar photovoltaic power generation is the most flexible and practical all renewable energy power generation technology, which makes use of the photoelectric effect of semiconductor materials to convert solar energy directly into electricity. But along with the advance of the solar cell and power electronics technology, the photovoltaic power get a rapid development and has become one of the mainstream of new energy use. This paper focuses on the design and application of Grid-Connected PV power station, which is of great theoretical and practical significance.This paper aims to give design process of Grid-Connected PV power station, and to evaluate and analyze the design and operation of the grid type photovoltaic to make the design better services to applications.Firstly, this article gives a brief overview to the history and present situation of the solar photovoltaic power generation systems, expounds the characteristics of photovoltaic power generation system and the design requirements. And this paper discussed with PV principles, features, characteristics and mathematical model, and then introducing the requirement of the grid to grid-connected photovoltaic power generation. Secondly, network and system configuration of photovoltaic power plants were discussed in detail. The paper introduces in detail the configuration of the photovoltaic system, and integrated optimization design from selection, array operation mode of the photovoltaic modules, inverter’s type selection, design of photovoltaic phalanx, square design array spacing, etc comprehensive optimization design scheme of the project to ensure its safe and economic operation. Finally, taking a photovoltaic power plants project as an example, the configuration of Solar photovoltaic cells,combiner box,inverter,box-type transformer and cable is analyzed. Besides, efficiency of photovoltaic power generation systems of the project, and considering the impact on the efficiency factors from solar energy resources engineering in regional situation, the installation of photovoltaic modules, project location of pollution coefficient, stand power loss and line loss and energy loss. And considering the above factors to calculate the capacity of construction project, in photovoltaic power station the whole life cycle computing capacity.
