Switched Reluctance Motor (Switched Reluctance Motor, referred to SRM) because of its simple structure, efficient variable speed performance, low cost, flexible control method, etc,it has been concerned widely by experts at domestic and foreign. Traditional Switched Reluctance Drive(Switched Reluctance Drive, referred to SRD) is the closed-loop system which sets in the motor control, based on the relative position information of the stator and rotor position sensor. Position sensor mounted on the SRM not only destroyed the original simple structure of the motor, but also reduces the speed performance and stability of the system. At the same time the operating position sensor need higher requirements of operating environments, but also limiting the application popularizing of the SRM. So non-position sensor SRM control method is a hot field in Switched Reluctance Motor researching now, the focus of this paper is non-position sensor SRM control ststem which based on improved simplified flux method.This paper introduces the application in a broad range of non-position sensor control method in details:flux method and simplified flux method, the author analyzes the shortage of the two methods on the implementation and efficiency of speed regulation, and on this basis, this paper proposes the design which uses the improved simplified flux method control strategy. The method can estimate speed by fixing off angle,and then determine the position of the rotor. According to the characteristic of any given optimal opening angle, achieving efficiency optimization of the control system.In Matlab/Simulink environment, the author sets up two simulation models of the dual-loop SRM control system,one is based on the simplified flux method,the other is based on the improved simplified flux method. According to the simulation results of two control system,we verify the obvious advantages of the improved flux simplified method to optimize the system response speed and speed regulation efficiency. Finally, we complete the hardware and software design of the control system, and do the feasibility test of the system.
