In this paper, two objects in the process of mutual friction, the material with the mutual coupling friction phenomenon. The influence of the similarity degree of the contact surface of the two objects on the friction coefficient is studied. In the life and scientific research, more or less we have such a kind of experience, a high degree of similarity of object contact friction, than the low similarity degree of two objects contact with each other to produce the friction coefficient large. However, due to the concept of similarity itself is fuzzy, the mathematical system established by the traditional set theory cannot be described accurately, so there is little research on this phenomenon for a long time. In this paper, fuzzy set is used to describe the similarity degree of two pairs of grinding objects.Firstly, based on the influence of the coupling properties of the material on the friction behavior, this paper presents a study of the tribological behavior from the surface quality similarity degree. A set of surface quality is defined, and the related elements in the set of surface quality are selected.Secondly, based on the fuzzy characteristics of the concept of quality of surface similarity, we selected the fuzzy clustering analysis method to establish the calculation model, get selected experimental set of similar matrix, finally elected we need a set of grinding surface quality of materials of correlation coefficient. In order to study whether there is a certain relationship between surface quality similarity and coefficient of friction, it can achieve the purpose of research on the relationship between the effect of friction coefficient and the comprehensive properties of the system.Finally, in order to correctness verification of the phenomenon described and using fuzzy clustering analysis and the similarity of two bodies in the phenomenon of contact surface similarity degree to describe the feasibility, we selected the steel 45# and H62 brass, white steel 201,6061 aluminum, aluminum Y12, black POM, POM and cast iron eight kinds of materials were analyzed by paired friction, we selected to white steel 201,6061 aluminum and white POM as a benchmark for testing. Through the calculation of the two similarity and the test results of the friction coefficient, to explain the phenomenon and the feasibility of this phenomenon, to establish the theory of tribology system to provide referenceThe experimental results show that, under the same test conditions, the variation of the friction coefficient between the two pairs of grinding surface quality is obvious. By fuzzy cluster analysis of the similarity and friction coefficient of correlation analysis, which|pxy| in several groups of experiments were greater than 0.6 and with our general recognition of the two surfaces similar degree is higher, the relative coefficient of friction are more consistent, fully illustrated we use fuzzy similarity surface quality of the concept of mutual coupling phenomenon analysis in tribology is feasible. Because we choose the test sample is less, and we define the surface quality of several measurement selection is not perfect, plus the weight between the various elements than in, so in the test curve will certain fluctuations phenomenon.
