Pressure reducing valve can make the outlet pressure automatically maintain stable by relying on the medium energy itself. Its own mechanical parts can assist the inlet pressure by adjusting to the preset outlet pressure. By having a wide variety, pressure reducing valve can be applicated to all kinds of working media and working conditions. Medical high-temperature steam sterilization process requires steam at 121 degrees, under 0.165 PKa condition by working at least 12 min in order to kill most of the bacteria and spores. As an important control device in the steam system, the performance of the pilot piston pressure reducing valve usually determines whether the whole system is safe, efficient and stable.Ideally, no matter how the pressure on the upstream pressure changes, pilot piston pressure reducing valve can provide a constant pressure to downstream. In all the factors that affect the effect of pressure relief valve, external conditions and internal structural parameters are the most important. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the effects of all factors on the effect of pressure relief valve, then summarize the law, find out the optimum working conditions of the pressure reducing valve in the medical steam sterilization device, at last establish theoretical basis for the commissioning and maintenance of steam equipment and piping in daily work.Computer simulation technology can advance awareness of system performance by shortening the design cycle as well as analyzing and evaluating the overall system involved, just because of this, it has optimized the system, shorten the design cycle and improved the stability of the system.This paper will establish a dynamic model which pilot-piston steam PRV will be used to reduce valve from the gas source to the full load. The dynamic model is based on first order differential mathematical model such as gas state equation, law of conservation of mass, flow equation, thermodynamic equation. Ultimately, we will perform a further characteristic simulation research on account of the AMESim platform.According to the experimental data, we will get the pressure relief valve dynamic characteristic curve, the static characteristic curve, the spring stiffness influence curve, the spool parameter influence curve and so on a series of characteristic curve. Because the specific requirement of steam for medical sterilization equipments, by optimizing the design of the parameters of the pressure reducing valve,we will provide the after valve equipments secure and personnel safety.
