With the rapid development of smart grid, power Grid intelligent demand is higher and higher, All kinds of Voltage Grade 10 kV and 0.4 kV of new business gradually to develop applications with electricity, in order to satisfy the bearing of the smart grid business needs, communication access network began to try to construction. Because there is no technical system of top-level design and choice in the process of construction of technical system, the communication access network which construction to meet the demand for a single business, All kinds of wired and wireless communication technology applied in different areas in different scale,in the process of pilot around communication access network in technology, security system, the bandwidth, the respect such as operational difficulty differences, Because of the blend itself is bad, it can’t satisfy the load demand of the follow-up of new business, causing the waste of investment.To solve the above problems,this paper is the present situation of the application of communication access network are studied, With full coverage required to analyze the new business of smart grid such as distribution automation and change monitoring, power quality monitoring, electricity information collection bandwidth and security, and proposes the communication needs, Contrast the current application of the application advantages and shortcomings of Ethernet Passive Optical Network and Industry Ethernet Network from the optical fiber, Multi-Carrier Wireless Information Local Loop and Time Division Long Term Evolution and Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access of the private wireless network. Choose Ethernet Passive Optical Network and Time Division Long Term Evolution on 1800MHz as the best technology choice, Based on principles of economy at the same time meet the basic requirements. Study the key problems such as model of different levels in the process of construction application, the optical power budget and network security protection for Ethernet Passive Optical Network and Time Division Long Term Evolution on 1800MHz, and put forward constructive ideas and solutions.The research of this paper content for the pilot unit technology system selection and design of the late provide feasible construction basis, conform to the development direction of the late communication access network.
