In this article, general finite element software ABAQUS was used to study stairways connecting with the method of resistance and release in frame structures, and find the better connection way by analyzing the results. The main research work of the thesis is as follows:In the second chapter, this article includes a brief description of the FEM software ABAQUS, an introduction of element types applied to structural members and the constitutive relation and parameters setting used in subro utine PQ-Fiber and a discussion about the calculation method of damage parameter in the damaged concrete plasticity model on the basis of new standard. By means of simulating the experimental results of pseudo-static tests and shaking table tests of stair substructures, the important details in the modeling of ABAQUS are described.Next, a RC high-rise frame structure was designed by structure design software PKPM2010 and three finite element models were build in ABAQUS on the basis of that. Meanwhile, the contrast between control indexes of results from SATWE and standard requirements is a powerful vindication of reasonability of this structure. Then, there are contrastive studies of PKPM models and ABAQUS models in mass, vibration mode and period. Because seismic wave selection is vital for the legitimacy of results, the article describes seismic wave selection and processing in detail.According to the analysis above, three finite element models named KJ 、 KJGD and KJHD are build by ABAQUS in chapter four, i ncluding the situation such as the neglect of stairways, the adoption of resistance and release connection. By analyzing the elastic and elastic-plastic response of structure under frequent and infrequent seismic actions, including the displacement response, the base shear and the elastic-plastic time-history development, the influence on the seismic performance of frame structure by stairways connection modes are researched.For the analysis of seismic performance of RC multilayer frame structure and RC high-rise frame structure connected by sliding plate stairs, the time history analysis in frequently occurred earthquake and rarely occurred earthquake was carried out, which includes the contrast of stress and damage of the structure and the staircase unde r earthquake, the discussion of stress and deformation characteristics of the sliding bearing.By means of the research above, the influence on the structural seismic performance, the advantages and disadvantages of sliding connection of stairways are evaluated, thus providing some references to the improvement of the seismic performance of the stairways in RC high-rise frame structure design.
