Planning And Design Research Of XingHai Park In XingCheng City

Today, tourism in Chinese coastal cities are developing rapidly, and the coastal space is very important part of the development of coastal cities, but it also takes some burden to the environment of these cities while developing. Besides, the construction and retrofit of Chinese waterfront landscape started relatively late, so how to build high quality modern waterfront landscape becomes an important topic we need to face.XingHai park is located to the north of the interchange of eastern Bohai sea in XingCheng, LiaoNing province and XingCheng river, which covers I4.52hm2. Based on consulting the relevant books of waterfront landscape, understanding some planning principles and design concepts, drawing lessons from some related cases at home and abroad, this paper analyzes the status of XingHai park in XingCheng as well as the planning and design research.First, we take analyze to the project site, from the perspective of residents and visitors, taking full consideration into the needs of residents’ leisure life and meeting the need of visitors to watching and resting, so the park is divided into two parts based on the nature of land, the waterfront space and entertainment area. After planning we divide the park into seven parts, namely, XingHai square, coastal forest, artificial beach, picnic garden, sun lawn, sports park, coastal plank, considering various needs like sightseeing, resting, watching and leisure at a time. Second, in terms of design, due to the project is a strip coastal area, so we partition the attractions into stripes along the coast depending on the function, and XingHai square becomes the triaxial meeting place of urban main road, rivers in XingCheng and Bohai sea, which is the only node having urban opposite scenery and has a certain sense of ritual and axis. Thus coastal park of XingCheng forms a layout of "a stripe, a node ". Third, in terms of local characteristics, XingCheng city is a famous resort for leisure and recuperation in northern China who sets city, spring, mountain, sea and island all in one and has a long history and culture. We can integrate these into the overall layout planning and detailed planning.
