Modeling Design Research Of Machining Center Based On Emotional Design Theory

With the increasing development of science and technology, machining center, the representative of high-end manufacturing equipments and one symbol of national manufacturing levels, has already made adequate progress in the physical properties like accuracy and reliability. While with the progress overtime, people start to require great spiritual needs for machining center rather than just the pursuit of physical performance. Therefore, the study on scientific modeling design methods of the design process of machining center, which enhance the machine center users’ subjective feelings and emotional cognition, has become increasingly important. Based on this, this paper makes consumers’emotional demand for machining center as the goal and proposes a modeling design method of machining center based on emotional design.Firstly, this paper illustrates the background and significance of the research. Then it concludes with the time requirements of the machining center modeling design for the emotional design by analyzing the current design situation of machining center home and abroad. Besides, the paper proposes the modeling design tendency in terms of form and color and other aspects after analyzing the special component units of the whole shaping of the machining center and researching the shaping design of the machining center of famous home-and-abroad machine companies.Secondly, this paper conducts a research of the core theory system of emotional design and chooses Kansei Engineering as the guide theory to conduct emotional design of machining center and illustrates the core experimental method of Kansei Engineering. Based on these, samples and image semantemes of the machining centers are collected, sifted and tested. By extracting the shaping design factors of the machining centers, this paper builds a mathematic relation model between factors and representative sensitive images. Finally, the paper concludes with the research of the application of emotional design to the machining center shaping design.Finally, the paper treats VS50100 motional column-type five-axis machining center of Nanjing Kenxin as a design example and proposes a shaping design plan. Then, the proposed design plan and original product are tested and compared with the evaluation methods of emotional design in order to testify the feasibility of the machining center shaping method based on emotional design theory.
